To Do(odle) or not to Do(odle)...

Dr. Margaret Chan gave an interesting speech last night entitled "Doodling isn't dawdling..." and what an eye-opener. Whoever thought doodling could not only be good for your memory and not only provide insight into your personality, but the doodler in your audience is probably retaining more of what you say than the non-doodler!!!

And this morning on my drive to work there was an interesting article on NPR Radio - about doodling!! I thought I'd share that with all of you:

Bored? Try Doodling To Keep The Brain On Task (by Alex Spigel)

And check back on the club website under the members area next week - we might have a video of Margaret's speech.

Happy doodling.....

Sharad,

I also did listen to the same program on NPR.

I doodle a lot and almost always end up writing cubes, prisms - I guess my fascination from Engineering Drawing. But I seriously doubt that it helps focus on a presentation/speech while I doodle. I say that because a study like this is usually based on assumptions and statistical sampling.

But it was great to see a presentation by Margaret on this topic and especially her fantastic use of Past president's doodles. As always it is a great plesure to listen to Margaret.

Happy blogging!

Regards!
Shashi.
